Decision table
| Order shape | Route | Why |
|---|---|---|
| One item, one size, low value | Direct | Service fee and domestic leg eat the margin |
| Three or more items | Agent | Consolidation is where the savings are |
| Size-critical (boots, shells) | Agent | Warehouse QC plus reversal window |
| Seller has Weidian/Taobao only | Agent | You likely cannot pay Taobao without a domestic method |
| High value (watches, bags) | Agent | Photo record and payment buffer |
| Gated album, thin trust | Agent | Payment protection while you verify |
What an agent actually adds
- A warehouse address, so multiple sellers become one parcel.
- QC photography with a reversal window measured in days, not goodwill.
- Access to lines you cannot contract yourself.
- A dispute layer: the agent, not you, pushes the seller.
What an agent adds to cost
- Service/purchase fee, or freight/exchange spread on “free” agents.
- Domestic leg per seller (~¥6–15 each).
- Storage risk if you wait for a batch, and per-photo fees on some plans.
How sellers signal their preferred route
Read the album folders. SharkBreeder lists seven-plus agents inside the menu; Husky Reps advertises an automatic 10% discount via two named agents; 3MadMan publishes a RizzitGo ordering walkthrough; WWTOP has a WEIDIAN Guide folder; DreamRemake and 3MadMan advertise direct shipping. Sellers tell you how they want to be bought from.
The hybrid that works best: verify with a small agent order, then if you are reordering the same line repeatedly, ask the seller whether they will quote direct with the agent link retained. Most will, because it saves them a chat.
